In La Paz, Baja California Sur, the workshop “Introduction to the administration of tourist micro-enterprises” was held. This training is part of the program to strengthen ecotourism companies in San Quintín that is carried out in collaboration with RED de Turismo Sustentable A.C.
From May 20 to 24, 2019, the workshop aimed to train ecotourism micro-enterprises of Baja California and Baja California Sur in administrative and accounting processes.
A total of 17 companies from 5 communities participated: Cabo Pulmo, La Paz, Sierra La Giganta, Arbolitos and San Quintín.
The training was provided by AL Contadores, who gave topics such as tax obligations, internal control, personnel hiring methods, among others. The last days of the workshop, companies had the opportunity to have a personalized advice to solve very specific questions of each company.
In addition to the topics discussed, there were dynamics to promote the integration of the group and these were in charge of representatives of RED, Niparajá, Noroeste Sustentable and Terra Peninsular.
The companies also had the opportunity to meet and exchange experiences. The next stage of the strengthening process for San Quintín micro-enterprises is to advance in the preparation of business plans with a sustainable approach.
