In 2016, new protected areas in San Quintín

This was accomplished in the first half of the year as part of the objectives of the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA). This initiative of Terra Peninsular resulted in the protection of the wetlands Arco Central, Molino Viejo, San Simón and El Playón, in San Quintín, Baja California.

Seagrass Monitoring

The bay is relevant both for its economic and ecological value.

First San Quintin Bay Bird Festival

Fresh air comes with the sunrise mist that covers the Volcanic Valley. The sun’s golden light bathes the dunes of Punta Mazo, the shorebirds are aligned in groups in front of the ocean. The bay begins to awake: today is Terra Peninsular’s First Annual Bird Festival.
