This was accomplished in the first half of the year as part of the objectives of the North American Wetlands Conservation Act (NAWCA). This initiative of Terra Peninsular resulted in the protection of the wetlands Arco Central, Molino Viejo, San Simón and El Playón, in San Quintín, Baja California.
