TERRA PENINSULAR RECEIVES SILVER AWARD
As part of our celebration of 25 years of continuous work, we received the Silver Award in the Climate Action and Biodiversity Conservation category during the sixth edition of the World Travel Market (WTM) Latin America, held in São Paulo, Brazil.
This recognition reinforces our commitment to protecting strategic ecosystems in Baja California, as well as promoting a tourism model focused on environmental conservation and ecological education.
Throughout our trajectory, we have led initiatives such as the Bahía de Todos Santos Shorebird Reserve, which is part of the Western Hemisphere Shorebird Reserve Network, in addition to carrying out conservation efforts in Sierra de San Pedro Mártir National Park.
We also promote nature tourism through responsible flora and fauna observation experiences in coastal ecosystems, wetlands, and mountainous regions, seeking to strengthen the connection between people and the natural environment.
At the same time, we work on environmental education programs, species monitoring, and habitat restoration projects in Ensenada and in several communities within the municipality of San Quintín.
Our approach, centered on biodiversity conservation and community participation, has been recognized in various national and international forums.
This achievement adds to the growing relevance of initiatives that promote sustainable tourism and ecosystem conservation in northwestern Mexico.
We are honored to have been mentioned during the Mexican Government’s morning conference for receiving the Responsible Tourism Award (Silver Winner) at WTM Latin America.
We are grateful for this recognition, which highlights the conservation work we carry out across the Baja California Peninsula.
This achievement is the result of the collective effort of our team, partners, and community, who make it possible every day to protect the biodiversity of our region.
